BACKGROUND

MARY SHITTU COUTURE is a vision of a reputable, notable and award winning fashion designer Mary Shittu. Mary has always wanted to be in the fashion industry, since she was little girl. She to fulfilled her dreams she studied Fashion Management at famous London College of Printing & Distributive Trades. Then went on to gain a BA (Hons) DEGREE in Marketing & Business Operations. With her qualifications Mary Shittu, a Self –taught machinist, she started designing and sewing outfits for herself, friends, and family members. Her ambition has always included running her own Fashion Business one day, with her experience in the fashion business which spans over a decade and also a seasoned fashion model with over 14 years experience.

With the support and encouragement from co-workers, top names in the Industry, and family members, she decided to step out and make her dream come true. This then extended to outside customers.

THE DESIGNER

With her natural love and flair for fashion and strong business acumen, Mary became a fully qualified Fashion Designer. Her fashion labels are MARY SHTTU COUTURE, and MA’KUSHI JEANS, which is known for its uniqueness and glamorizing denim.

THE COLLECTION

Mary Shittu Couture a sophisticate and elegant Women’s collection .The collection brings the Glamour back to every woman’s life and to the fashion business. The collection consists of Long and Short dresses, fitted Trousers and Corsets. The fabrics are of Satins, Indian Silks with hand Beadings, very rich in vibrant colours. The collective concept of the Mary Shittu is to design for Ladies who want to be dressed as individuals with originality, exclusivity, confidence and style

MARY SHITTU COUTURE clients always look Glamorous, Classy and Elegant. The clients experience a high level of fit for comfort associated with the couture. It makes a perfect regal fitting and oozes out confidence, satisfaction and ‘cutting a figure’ from the Wearer.

The brand is known for its unique designs. It is worn many by many local and international celebrities and well known personalities. It stands out in any Red Carpet event. Mary Shittu has won many Awards in recognition of her excellent work in the fashion business. The most recent awards are as follows:

1. For ‘YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR’. This award was given to her from the European federation of Black Women Business Owners (EFBWBO).
2. For the British Female Inventor and Innovators Award 2007- People’s Choice Environmental friendly. Presented by Global Women Inventors and Innovators Network (GWIIN) AND British Female Inventors and Innovators Network (BFIIN)

Both labels have grace some of the top calk walks and magazine pages around the world. Mary Shittu is described by the press and Media as the young fresh designer in the industry. She is a force to be reckoned with in the fashion industry.
